These friendly and inclusive classes invite adults aged 60 and above to explore the foundations of contemporary dance through a blend of structured movement, exercises and creative improvisation. Our classes develop mobility, co-orindation, strength and balance.
Moving at a steady and gentle pace, we explore expressive dance movement to music.
Whether you’re new to dance or returning after a break, this is a wonderful opportunity to experience expressive movement in a relaxed, welcoming environment.

A warm-down followed by tea, cake, and conversation
Led by Sam Blackden, each session supports the body and mind, offering time to move, connect, and enjoy dancing with others in a calm, friendly space.
What to Wear
Wear comfortable clothes you can move in — T-shirts, vests, leggings, joggers, or loose trousers are all welcome.
We usually dance barefoot, but soft ballet or jazz shoes are also suitable.
Don’t forget to bring a water bottle!
