Contemporary Grades

Cascade offer students aged 7 - 19 years a chance to gain qualifications in Contemporary Dance through the National Association of Teachers of Dancing. Dancers can take grades 1 to 6 and progress onto Inter- Foundation and Intermediate levels. Since offering these grades in 2013, Cascade have secured a 100% pass rate for all exams including a 95 % Merit - Distinction grade achievement.

Our Contemporary grade classes are primarily run on Saturdays in Tunbridge Wells through our Cascade Junior and Cascade Youth companies.

GRADE INFORMATION

Costs: Each exam is priced per grade by the NATD + Cascade administration fee.

When: Dance exams are usually scheduled at the end of every year or bi-annually. This is at the discretion of Cascade and depends on the students' progress. Exams would be held on either a Saturday or Sunday.

Times: Each exam length can vary from 20 minutes to 1 hour depending on the grade.

Locations: Exams are held in the Tunbridge Wells area, depending on venue availability.

Uniform: In preparation for the exam, students must own a black leotard and footless black tights.
