Contemporary Grades

Cascade offers students between 8 - 21 years to gain qualifications in Contemporary Dance through the National Association of Teachers of Dancing. Dancers can take grades 1 to 6 and progress onto Inter- Foundation and Intermediate level. Since offering these grades in 2013, Cascade have secured a 100% pass rate for all exams including a 95 % Merit - Distinction grade achievement.

Our Contemporary grade classes are primarily run on Saturdays in Tunbridge Wells through our Cascade Junior and Cascade Youth Programmes, however other classes are available through the CPA Dance Programme.

Costs: Each exam is priced per grade by the NATD + Cascade administration fee.

When: Dance exams are usually scheduled at the end of every year or bi-annually. This is at the discretion of Cascade and depends on the students' progress. Exams would be held on either a Saturday or Sunday.

Times: Each exam length can vary from 20 minutes to 1 hour depending on the grade.

Locations: Exams are usually held in the Tunbridge Wells area, depending on venue availability.

Uniform: In preparation for the exam, students must own a black leotard and footless black tights.
